Jimmy Wohlert, age 55, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Memorial University Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Bonaventure Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kirk Wilson officiating, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Keith Antonacci, Troy Nikola, Lawrence Nikola, Kyle Nikola, Ross Dickerson, Ian Kirk, Eric Wilson and Frankie Taylor serving as pallbearers. Employees of Savannah Cemetery Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Jimmy was born February 8, 1956 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to the late John William Wohlert and Lorraine Lauritsen Wohlert, who survives of North Port, Florida. He was the maintenance supervisor for the Savannah Cemetery Group and a member of St. James Catholic Church. Jimmy married Jo Ann Reinbeck Wohlert on January 24, 1981 and celebrated their 30th anniversary this year.
Survivors include in addition to his mother are: Wife, Jo Ann Wohlert, Children, Daniel J. Wohlert, Jamie D. Wohlert and Melissa A. Wohlert all of Savannah; four sisters, Linda W. Benitz and husband William of Barnegat, NJ; June W. Nikola and husband Larry of Colts Neck, NJ and Savannah; Laura W. Kirk of Port Charlotte, FL; Janet Wohlert and fiancé Felix Roman of North Port, FL; two brothers, Laurence Wohlert of Perth Amboy, NJ, and John W. Wohlert, Jr. and wife Lorraine of Indianapolis, IN; one sister-in-law, Donna Reinbeck of Long Beach Island, NJ; two brothers-in-law, Charles Reinbeck, Jr., and John Reinbeck, both of Edison, NJ; Father-in-law, Charles Reinbeck, Sr. and wife Mary of Manahawkin, NJ; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday evening, October 28, 2011 from 6-9 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
